Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about getting insurance for the first time.
Our Learner Driver Insurance is a flexible solution for learner drivers to gain experience behind the wheel with the peace of mind of being fully insured.
A Choice Learner Driver Insurance lets you get those all-important extra hours of driving practice in your own car whilst also earning No Claims Discount in your own name.
We have two options. The first is our ‘Provisional Licence Only’ policy. With this policy, your premium will increase as soon as you pass your test.
Alternatively, you can take out an annual policy. With this policy, your premium remains the same, irrespective of when you pass your test.
We are here to help so just give us a call and we’ll chat it through.
Of course, in fact, most of our customers like to take out and pay for an annual policy as they can easily budget for their insurance for the year ahead.
Talk to us about the various ways you can pay.
Not if you have taken out an annual policy and none of your circumstances have changed (so you haven’t changed your car, moved address or had any accidents/convictions etc…).
Give us a call so we can discuss our different options.
Any driver over 21 years of age with a valid full UK licence for at least 3 years. This doesn’t have to be the car owner but you do need the owner’s permission to insure and drive the vehicle.
This depends on the product you select and, in some cases, your age when taking out the policy. We can talk to you about the range of payment options available.
Changing your car will impact your premium. Before you make any decisions about changing your car, please speak to us first. Don’t risk changing your car for one that could be unacceptable to insurers as it’s no fun having a car that you can’t get insurance on! Please speak to us first and we will talk to you about how insurance companies will consider the type of car you are thinking about getting.
A no-claims bonus discount is a count of the number of years in which you haven’t made a claim.
The amount that its worth varies from insurer to insurer but having a no-claims discount will get you money off your insurance premium at renewal.
If you are involved in an accident or your vehicle is vandalised or stolen, please call our Claims line to report your incident on 0121 776 5138.
Why choose achoice for
your Learner Driver Insurance?
We’ve been insuring learner drivers since 1999 and we reckon we know a thing or two about what’s important when it comes to insurance and learning to drive. Below are just a few of the reasons why we feel our learner driver insurance is right for you.
Our annual learner driver policy allows you to earn your No Claims Discount in your name, which will benefit you at your renewal. **
Unlike many other Learner Driver companies, we allow you to insure your own car in your own name so your friend/family members No Claims Discount won’t be affected if you need to make a claim.
No ‘Just Passed Test’ Policy Cancellation
Unlike so many other Learner Insurance Policies, we can accommodate you once you have passed your driving test.
